There are many questions and considerations you might have when planning an EgyCanTours trip. We’ve identified some of the more common questions we receive about our land journeys.

Payment

When you’re happy with the suggested itinerary and after you have confirmed your trip through the platform, you can pay for your trip via a secure payment link (the 3D Secure program for Visa and SecureCode for Mastercard) which gets sent to you automatically afterwards directly through our website.

Via the payment link you can choose at the bottom to either pay by credit card or bank transfer. All necessary information is provided there. 

Payment methods

You can pay for your trip using VISA, MasterCard or bank transfer.

EgyCanTours offers payment terms that are relevant to the market their operate in, as each market has a different legal requirement. 

A minimum down payment of 20% is required to secure your booking, with the remainder of the balance due 30 days before departure. Please note that if any activities/hotels/flights require payment in advance, your down payment may end up being higher than 20%. 

If your departure is within the next 30 days, you are likely to be asked for the full amount to be paid upfront.

 There are a few main possibilities when determining why the payment was not processed correctly. Try these…

  1. Check your 3-digit security code

On average 2.25% of transactions are declined due to an incorrect security code being provided. It’s worth making completely sure that you entered it correctly before reading on.

  1. Check your daily payment limit

The amount you are trying to pay might exceed the amount you are allowed to pay within a day. Check any daily limits you may have with your bank.

  1. Check your credit limit

The amount you are trying to pay might exceed your credit limit. If that is the case, we would encourage you to contact your bank and discuss your limit options.

  1. 3D Secure might be causing the issue

3D secure is controlled by your bank and provides you with a higher level of payment security through additional levels of authentication.   , we’re afraid, out of our control, but isn’t exclusive to us so hopefully issues will be resolved soon.

Some tips to solve the issue…

  1. Feedback from our travelers suggests that using the Google Chrome web browser can help.
  2. You could contact your bank and mention issues with “3D secure” – they can assist and authorize the transaction.

For sensible financial security reasons, we can’t deactivate this security feature or authorize the transaction for you. The safest way is for you to contact your bank.

  1. If you’re still struggling perhaps try a different payment method…
  1. Use a different card. This may avoid some of the potential problems listed above.
  2. Pay via bank transfer. This payment option can be selected via the payment link you will have received when confirming your trip. You are also able to ask your local expert to resend you the payment link.

Travel

We do not offer international flight. But we do have options to include domestic flight in your itinerary. For instance, if a trip requires a road trip, we might be able to book you a flight instead if you do not feel comfortable traveling by car or bus.  Once you confirm your booking with EgycanTours, you can arrange for your international flight. 

EgyCanTours does not offer travel insurance. We strongly encourage everyone to get a suitable travel insurance prior to departure.

We can provide visa information. It is your responsibility to get your visa entry prior to your departure or at the airport for certain nationalities.

Unfortunately, we are unable to waive cancellation fees if you cannot secure a visa after confirmation.
